• Digital X-rays give Dr. Mathew an instant and detailed view of the entire mouth. Using our chairside computer monitor, he can discuss these images with you and determine what next step to take.
• The Wand is a computer-controlled system for giving local anesthetic without using needles. This enhances your comfort and helps those with dental anxiety to relax.

Preventing Gum Disease

Recent research has shown that gum disease is linked to other health problems – even to severe conditions such as heart disease and stroke. In early gum disease, the gums begin to bleed. This allows mouth bacteria to enter the bloodstream and travel elsewhere in the body, taking infection with them.

You can best prevent gum disease by keeping good dental hygiene habits and by coming regularly for checkups and professional teeth cleaning. Once the mouth bacteria spread below the gumline, they can infect the tooth roots and even the jawbone. Missing Teeth

If you have lost one or more teeth, you have several choices as to how they can be replaced. Dr. Mathew can design dentures for you, and because we have an excellent dental lab, they will be made to fit securely and comfortably and to look natural.

You might prefer to have dental implants as a permanent solution. The implant fills the gap left by a missing tooth root, and this prevents the jawbone from shrinking. The new tooth will be permanently attached and will match your other teeth, and you need not think any more about how you once had a gap in your smile.

Since Dr. Mathew has completed extensive post-graduate study at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), he will approach your general dentistry from a larger perspective than the typical general dentist. For example, he will test and assess your bite – the way your teeth come together – before doing any dental restoration like a white filling.
